Quasi

The Quasi was never deliberately designed or planned in concept, but evolved naturally through regular work-process in the studio, during years of working on art projects for public spaces. It was just there one day, a sort of Polis of clustered, architectural models, model- installations and all kinds of debris, forming a intense spatial and contextual whole. ++++ This sudden, reversed perception, away from the „model" to a coherent architecture, led to a long investigation of visual possibilities to diffuse the restrictions of scale and to play with learned, perceptive patterns. it became a kind of dancing between lies and truths with some irritating results, as perception tends to oscillate among familiar scales, particularly through the lens and various forms of imaging strategies. ++++ The Quasi later evolved into an occasional „art space", with it's own program, scheduled openings, installed by different artists. ++++ The Quasi is currently in storage awaiting further life.
